The Project

What a fun installation this was! Because of the unique aesthetics of this home we had a challenge ahead of us to maintain the character of the architecture and the integrity of the roof. During our design phase we created a 3D model of the home to make sure that the customer understood our vision. Once we got started we were relieved that the roof was easier to work on than anticipated. Even so this installation took all of our expertise to pull off. The inverter installation was top of the line thanks to Jason Williams of Artisan Electric. One day, while we were finishing up, the ZENN electric car showed up! Now our customer has solar powered transportation!

The Design

While we were designing the system we wanted to maximize the amount of solar on the roof, maintain and enhance the aesthetics, and keep within a resonable budget. We looked at several panel manufacturers and models, and decided the Sharp 162U1Fs fit the bill.
